Интеграция  в  Южной  Америке   на старте  нового  века:  инициативы,  трудности, достижения
Интеграционный процесс в Южной Америке расширяется за счет появления новых форм и направлений общерегионального сотрудничества, таких, как физическая интеграция, безопасность, создание региональных финансовых институтов. Однако трудности многих новых инициатив свидетельствуют о наличии серьезных системных проблем, в частности, различий во внешнеполитических и внешнеэкономических курсах стран, необходимости поиска сильных внерегиональных партнеров, отсутствии четкой региональной стратегии интеграции.

Integration process in South America in the beginning of the new century: initiatives, problems and results.
Integration process in South America is developed due to the emergence of new forms and ways of regional cooperation, such as physical integration, security, creation of new financial institutions. At the same time difficulties of new initiatives show a presence of serious systematic problems like differences in foreign and  external economic policies, necessity to search new out-regional partners, absence of clear regional integration strategy.
Key words: integration, international trade, foreign investment, regional security, international financial organizations.

Выборы в Португалии: президент приходит дважды
В статье рассматриваются последние президентские выборы в Португалии, по итогам которых на новый срок был переизбран действующий президент А.Кавако Силва. Выборы проходили на фоне экономического кризиса и падающей популярности правительства социалистов. Их результаты обнажили существующие проблемы в левом политическом спектре, шаткость позиций и ошибки действующего правительства и премьер-министра, выявили новые тенденции в настроениях электората. Выборы подтвердили необходимость модернизации существующей в стране политической системы, в частности электорального законодательства. Взаимоотношения между различными институтами исполнительной власти стали главной темой президентской кампании.

Elections in Portugal: President comes twice
The article examines recent presidential elections in Portugal, which resulted in a new term of incumbent President Anibal Cavaco Silva who was re-elected. The elections took place against the backdrop of economic crisis and the falling popularity of the socialist government. Their results revealed the existing problems in the left political spectrum, shakiness of the positions and errors of the current government and Prime Minister, identified new trends in the attitudes of the electorate. Elections have confirmed the need to modernize the existing political system, in particular, the electoral legislation. The relationship between the different institutions of the executive power became the main theme of the presidential campaign.

Russian-Brazilian relations through the prism of Russian and foreign mass media
The specific of Russian-Brazilian relations representation in the media are analyzed in this article. All publications are divided into three groups and examined within these groups. Moreover emphasis is placed on the differences in the coverage of this topic in domestic and foreign mass media.

Перестройка и постсоветская эпоха: взгляд из Латинской Америки (окончание)
В постсоветскую эпоху образ России в Латинской Америке утрачивает как культурфилософскую, так и идеологическую составляющие; он уходит из художественной литературы и эссеистики в прессу и в научно-политическую литературу, то есть фактически из сферы имагологии перемещается в сферу политического имиджа и оценивается, исходя из чисто прагматических критериев. Наряду с общим падением интереса к России в Латинской Америке образ постсоветской России лишился глубины, смыслового многообразия и полемичности.

The image of Russia in the period of perestroika and post-Soviet era
After the Soviet era, Russia's image in Latin America is loosing its images and is estimated on the basis of pragmatic cultural and philosophic elements as well as ideological ones. Now this image is not used in fiction or essays but mainly in the newspapers, in scientific and political literature. I.e. from the sphere of art and literature it moves into the sphere of political criteria. Along with the general decline of interest in Russia in Latin America, the image of post-Soviet Russia has lost its depth, its semantic diversity and polemic items.

Забытый генсек. Очерк политической биографии Хорхе Виво д’Эското
История компартии Кубы и ряда других левых партий Латинской Америки до сих пор содержит множество лакун. Одной из них является вопрос о кадровом составе партий. В настоящей статье авторы прослеживают основные вехи политической биографии и научного пути Хорхе Абилио Виво д’Эското — одного из генеральных секретарей кубинской КП, активиста левых движений Кубы, Мексики, Колумбии и стран Центральной Америки, функционера Коминтерна, а впоследствии видного мексиканского ученого.

The General Secretary forgotten
The history of the Communist Party of Cuba and of some other Left-Wing parties of Latin America still contains a lot of lacunas. One of them is the question on personnel structure of political parties. In the present article the authors trace the basic marks of the political biography and the scientific career of Jorge Abilio Vivo d’Escoto who was one of the General Secretaries of the CP of Cuba, the militant of the Left-Wing movements in Cuba, Mexico, Colombia and the countries of Central America, who was the prominent functionary of the Comintern, and subsequently became a well-known Mexican scientist.

Статья посвящена творчеству выдающегося мексиканского драматурга Эмилио Карбальидо (1925—2008) — автора более 100 пьес, переведенных на многие языки мира, в том числе и на русский (2010). Произведения Карбальидо ставились во многих странах Латинской Америки и Европы. Статья включает в себя как личные воспоминания, так и анализ творчества писателя, его роли и места в национальной и латиноамериканской культуре.

I, too, speak of the rose…
The article is dedicated to the work of the outstanding Mexican playwright Emilio Carballido (1925-2008), the author of over a hundred plays translated into different languages including Russian (2010). Beside Mexico,  the plays of Carballido were staged in the USA and many countries of Latin America and Europe. The article includes both personal memories and interpretation of the creative work of the playwight, as well as his role and place in the national and Latin American culture in general.

Ибероамериканисты подвели итоги года
Отчет о годовом собрании «Ассоциации исследователей иберо-американского мира», в ходе которого были подведены итоги политического и социально-экономического развития стран региона в 2010 г., рассмотрены аспекты сотрудничества Испании и России, а также определены планы совместной работы ассоциации и ИЛА РАН в текущем 2011 г. Кроме того, были оглашены результаты конкурса имени С.А.Микояна на лучшую работу в журнале «Латинская Америка» за 2010 г.

The Ibero-American scientists sum up the results of the year
A review of the annual meeting of the “Association for Ibero-American Studies”. It contains the summary of social, political and economic development of the region in 2010, presents also some aspects of bilateral cooperation between Russia and Spain, as well  as the flans for the future teamwork of the Association and ILA ACR were defined. Also were read out the results of the S.A.Mikoyan competition for the best publication in the journal “America Latina” in the 2010.

Русские на Кубе
В рецензируемой книге прослеживаются российско-кубинские связи с самых первых контактов в XVIII в. вплоть до наших дней. Много внимания уделено гуманитарной сфере и вопросам культурного взаимодействия. В своей работе авторы использовали не только письменные источники различных периодов истории, но и материал, собранный в ходе бесед с кубинскими и российскими исследователями.
